Terroir

SITUATION

Located in the heart of the Bordeaux vineyards, halfway between Bordeaux and Saint-Émilion, the Graves de Vayres region is located on the right bank of the Garonne and the left bank of the Dordogne, downstream from the town of Libourne.

SOILS

A terrace system testifies to the sinking of the Dordogne into its valley. Depending on the height, we have different types of soil: sandy-clay, clay-gravelly or silt-gravelly.

WEATHER

Oceanic climate where sea entrances play an important thermoregulatory role. On the banks of the river, the appellation benefits from the moderating effects of the mass of water, but also from a particular microclimate, due to the steeper relief of the opposite bank and the proximity of the Fronsac hillock.

CULTURE

The family has always used traditionalmethods, but it has also constantly invested in functional, modern equipment to improve quality and efficiency while respecting the environment.
